Stevia-Infused Iced Tea Recipe
Ingredients:
- 4 hydroponically grown stevia leaves
- 4 cups of water
- 4 tea bags (green tea, black tea, or herbal tea of your choice)
- 1-2 tablespoons honey (optional, for sweetening)
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices or mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions:

- Rinse the hydroponically grown stevia leaves under cold running water to remove any dirt or impurities. Pat them dry with a clean kitchen towel.
- In a medium-sized saucepan, bring 4 cups of water to a boil.
- Once the water reaches a rolling boil, remove it from heat.
- Add the stevia leaves to the hot water, and cover the saucepan with a lid. Allow the stevia leaves to steep in the hot water for about 10-15 minutes, infusing the water with their natural sweetness.
- While the stevia is steeping, prepare the tea base. In a separate teapot or heatproof pitcher, steep 4 tea bags in 4 cups of boiling water according to the tea’s package instructions. Typically, this takes about 3-5 minutes.
- After steeping, remove the tea bags and discard them.
- Once the stevia-infused water has steeped for the allotted time, strain the stevia leaves from the hot water using a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth, ensuring you capture all the flavorful liquid.
- Combine the strained stevia-infused water with the freshly brewed tea in your heatproof pitcher. Mix them well.
- If you prefer a sweeter tea, you can add 1-2 tablespoons of honey to the tea mixture and stir until it dissolves. Adjust the sweetness to your liking. (If you want a hot cup of stevia tea, stop here)
- Allow the tea mixture to cool to room temperature.
- Once it’s at room temperature, transfer the pitcher to the refrigerator and let it chill for at least 1-2 hours to become thoroughly cold.
- Garnish each glass with lemon slices or fresh mint leaves for an extra burst of flavor and freshness.
- Serve your refreshing stevia-infused iced tea over ice cubes on a hot day or as a delightful, naturally sweetened beverage any time you desire.
