Description
Orange thyme has a strong orange scent and flavor. Thyme contains thymol and small amounts of other nutrients such as potassium, vitamin A, vitamin C, and magnesium. When you cook with it, the clear orange flavor lingers in the mouth without the harsh aftertaste of other thymes. Use sparingly. Add to roast meats, stews, casseroles, stuffing, bouquet garni, ice cream, soups, stir-fries, fish, poultry, veal, roasted vegetables and piquant sauces.
Plant Care:
Orange thyme leaves are attached to the stem. Cut the longest stems and use the leaves from it, allowing the energy to go back into the root system for growing more stems with leaves.
