Description
It’s not called “candyleaf” for nothing. Stevia has sweet tasting leaves because of chemicals known as steviol glycosided and is native to Paraquay. These chemicals can be more than 300 times sweeter than table sugar and do not affect blood glucose levels!
Plant Care
Pick the leaves before the small white flowers appear. Once stevia leaves reach their peak sweetness, they are harvested and left to dry for a few days. The dried stevia leaves are soaked in water to unlock the best-tasting, sweet substance found in the leaf.
